From Financial Learning to Life Long Learning

For the longest time I’ve struggled with managing my personal finances and have searched for different ways to balance between earning, spending and saving. I was on Facebook a few months ago reading through posts from groups I’m in and one of the group members mentioned the Financial Peace University and that she’s enrolled in a class and learning how to manage her personal finances.

It didn’t take me long to rush over to the website to learn more. Before long, I signed up for a class with Dr. Michael Koku. When class finally started, I didn’t have any expectations of what I would find in the class and how the learning was going to be presented. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and guidance Dr. Koku held and quickly this class become one of my favorites.

Each week, I learn so much about how to manage my earnings and create a budget along with create emergency savings. I started to make changes as I was really eager to turn my finances around and start winning for a change. Small but, never the less, changes!!!

While, I was learning about managing my budget and saving, Dr. Koku provided not only financial tips, but life and leadership tips. He was a bundle of positive energy, wisdom and motivation. He encouraged everyone to take steps, share any wins and take action towards financial freedom. Dr. Koku wasn’t just a financial advisor, I found him to be a life leader and coach. His teachings are precise, knowledge-filled and easy to remember, thanks to his love of acronyms! I would love to mimic his passion and energy into helping people succeed.

The point of the story…. There are so many areas of life that are difficult and may bring you down, yet there are cheerleaders among us who will push you to make positive choices and help you through. You’re not alone, keep moving forward!
