WHO WE ARE

What Imkan exists to do.

Imkan means possibility in Arabic. We chose that word deliberately, because the entire philosophy of this company is built on one belief: resilience is not a personality trait you either have or don't. It is a behavioral response. And behavioral responses can be trained.

Imkan Leadership Development was founded in 2023 to fill the gap between what managers are expected to do and what anyone ever taught them. We build the behavioral frameworks, the measurement tools, and the training programs that give managers and organizations a different way to respond when the pressure hits.

THE FOUNDER

From refugee to resilience trainer.

Nagham Alsamari arrived in the United States from Iraq at age 13 as a refugee. She came with nothing familiar, a new language, a new country, and the kind of pressure most people never face. What she built from that experience became the foundation of everything Imkan does.

She spent the next 20 years in education, as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum coordinator, and school principal. In those roles she trained teachers, principals, and managers, building 13 years of hands-on training experience before Imkan existed. She watched people carry impossible weight with no framework for why they reacted the way they did under pressure. She saw talented people burn out, shut down, and leave roles they were built for. Not because they lacked skill. Because nobody had ever shown them their behavioral pattern.

In 2023 she founded Imkan Leadership Development to bring that training work under one roof with a named methodology, proprietary tools, and a clear focus on managers. She developed Train Your Resilience Muscle™ framework, the Reactor Pattern framework, the Behavioral Resilience Training™ methodology, and the Manager Resilience Scorecard™, building on Maxwell DISC behavioral science and over a decade of hands-on training experience.

Imkan means possibility in Arabic. For Nagham, that word is not a tagline. It is the thing she proved at age 13 and has been teaching ever since.
