How Do You Tech While You Resil (or Vice Versa)? The powerful connection between resilience, technology, and focusing on what truly matters.
You may know me as a resilience coach and leadership strategist (yes, that feels more approachable than calling myself an “expert”). You may also wonder: what does resilience have to do with technology?
At first glance, the two might seem worlds apart. Resilience is about navigating challenges, adapting to change, and bouncing back stronger. Technology, on the other hand, often brings to mind efficiency, innovation, and systems.
But here’s the thing — they’re deeply connected.
I am a user of technology and a chaser of efficiency.
I love innovation — Because it allows me to reimagine possibilities and stay on top.
I’m constantly challenged to think beyond what I see in front of me and instead, create a bold vision for my company and those I serve.
— By all means, innovation doesn’t mean I’m jumping on the latest trend no matter what it is — Innovation is challenging yourself, your business, and people you serve to embrace a mindset of growth and continue to grow through curiosity and turn every challenge into an opportunity.
I love efficiency — Because it creates space.
Space to think, space to connect, and space to focus on what really matters. I’m not in a race to cross things off my to-do list and call it a day; I’m about prioritizing things of real value.
— Efficiency allows me to let go of the mundane and focus my energy on the tasks where I can be most creative. It frees my mind from the clutter of repetitive work, giving me the clarity to strategize and bring my vision to life.
And so, we come back to the question of resilience!
I’ll list what resilience is and I want you to see the connection. Ready?
Resilience is:
Adapting to challenges and staying grounded in the face of uncertainty
Navigating change with clarity and purpose
Bouncing Back stronger after setbacks, with new learned skill and energy
Turning Challenges into opportunities and using the obstacles as stepping stones to grow and move forward
Do you see it now?
When we turn challenges into opportunities, we innovate. We push ourselves to push differently, to reimagine what’s possible and to think of solutions that didn’t exist before.
Innovation is resilience in action — It’s the mindset that allows us to adapt! And technology provides the tools to make it happen.
In simple terms, I use technology to help me focus my efforts on the creative side of my work. And let technology help me automate the mundane and tedious part of it so I can do what I do best:
Crafting bold ideas
Solving problems
Serving others with purpose
Technology isn’t just a tool —it’s a partner that allows me to work smarter, not harder.
And resilience isn’t just a quality — it’s a mindset.
What about you? How do you use technology to free up your time and energy for what truly matters?
